“Fashion genius Karl Lagerfeld is rumoured to be retiring from Chanel in 2012. It is thought that on the designer’s 30th anniversary at the fashion house, Karl will stage a huge farewell with no expense spared, and there is speculation that Creative director at Lanvin, Alber Ebaz, will replace Mr Lagerfeld as head designer for the label.”

I really hope it is just a rumour.

And we wonder why the world is rumoured to end in 2012…
